Title: Off for a week
Post by: Vamps on 16 February 2009, 00:43:05
I have a list of good intentions:
Get the Galant back on the road.
Decorate the toilet.
Decorate the bathroom.
Deep clean the kitchen and range cooker.
Maybe clean the carpets downstairs.

Wonder how much actualy gets done... ::) ::) ::)

Are you in security per chance, 8am finish, not normal shift hours? :)

I do 3 or 4 shifts in a row and then usually have about 5 days off.
I get the"home life" on days off (arguing like break by the 3rd day) ::)
sleep at work?how very dare you. :-X ;)
I am inside a building (electronics design and manufacture)with the place to myself, which suits me fine ,as I am an unsociable tinker. ::) ;D
I sit here at the reception desk,oofing/watching TVor DVD,s and watching the CCTVcameras. 8-)

Not bad work if you can get it Mike. :)
I,ve only been doing it a few months but I think I am getting used to it.
Its pretty boring at times but I cant do physical graft anymore.I spent the previous 20 years working with concrete (shovelling it mostly) but my mispent youth falling off motorbikes has caught up with me. ::)
Money isnt great either,I was earning the same as I am now in 1990 and twice as much 3 years ago. :'( Trying to get a second job  for the days off.

Immediate problem is that my right knee is breaked,it needs to be replaced but the docs are trying to hold off as long as possible. They said if I didnt get a sit down job it wouldnt last much longer.
It seems a lot better since I changed jobs.

Citroen was booked intoday for a 'recall' not that anyone had told me it needed one, only found out cos I had a slight problem last week ::)

Left car with them, no loan cars so got swmbo to assist ::) Went to collect car, notice still parked in the same place. Dealer told me that they were unable to do the upgrade as their computer link wire was broken, got to go back again. Said I needed a loan car, they said no problem ::) When I booked it in last week they said they had no loan cars available for  4 to 6 weeks, make of that what you will. noticed a loan car parked up today when I wanted one. >:( My car is on a lease, where they have to keep me mobile, regardless.... :-X
