ok Jamie and i few others have had errrr poor experiences with these guys...
Bet i can beat it now!!
Went to the above "dealer" for
4 washers for oil cooler
4 rings for oil cooler
grey sealant
battery for 3 litre omega
Provided descriptions of all parts AND gave them part numbers as i know there a bit s l o w
after a 25 minute wait the results were.
An elderly assistant returning with 4 random washers in his hand asking "if they looked about right"
an admission that he had no idea what or where item 2 was
An admission that he had no idea what or where or if they stocked sealant and was it something to fix a radiator.
A battery for a 3.2 omega part ending 92....85 and 85 amp and about a £10 dearer that the 72 amp 3.0 litre one.
Needless to say i walked out. No offer to order parts in and no utterly hopeless waste of my time!!!!
Obviously part time staff as he was not my usual weekday guy.
Would anyone here with a trade card and a decent local dealer be kind enough to try and get the washers and sealant ( i can supply part numbers which were verified by Marks DTM) if i paypal the cash to them in advance to cover the cost, the postage and a beer or two extra?
Many Thanks

Markie,
I can get the parts for you, but I suspect the postage on the battery may be a bit steep! ;)
However I can't get to the dealership until Monday (MV6 currently in bits).

If you could get the sealant and washers it would be very much appreciated.
Just going back out but if i pm later with the part numbers etc and payment arrangements ? :y :y
Thanks LB :)

I'd be glad to help you out Jock, but my local dealer's dropped the TC scheme!! >:(

Now, I'm not going to do this often, but I am going to stick up for the parts dept of Evan Halshaw at Milton Keynes....
The grumpy git aside, they are helpful, and carry a good selection of stuff.
My bugbear is purely with the service dept and the lying service manager. I was in there the other day and overheard the idiot talking utter 'dangle berries' to a customer. I had got my coolant at this point, so I went over to the customer, and just said 'he is telling you porkies' and walked out...

EH of MK as above, has a grumpy git on the desk. However as TB says they have a good selection of parts.
At best Vx dealers are "ok" - However i am finding their prices generally are excellent, even without TC.
