Quite happy with a sliding skelly & box, some finger bays have inches either side & you're reversing in from the out so can only see black in your mirrors. Easier on a 40 than 20ft. :y
-
I do this all day long as part of my job (NOT WITH CARAVANS) with winches. I can't be arsed with it on here

sometimes i have to pull a 36ft with a live rearsteering axle. when first picked up it makes you look daft as it is still turning whilst trying to straighten up. once you get used to it youcan put it in places where a rigid struggles

I used to drive a 20ft "A" frame furniture box, took me 3 months to learn how to do it to a reasonable fashion (mostly in Italy and Spain) ,now if you asked me i'd run a mile from it ;D ;D ;D ;D

must own up and admit that i am crap at reversing drawbars. whether they be a-frame or centeraxle unless the prime mover is really short then i need a crystal ball to tell me how early to start winding the lock off.

hardest job i had to do was with a box trailer with opening front doors that i had to open and put upto a dock leveller. once done for first time every following time is easy until you put it too tight upto dock and cant get it off without a tug from rear of trailer
