Title: Can anyone help with problem on remote alarm set ?
Post by: jerry on 20 February 2009, 11:52:36
mate at works got an astra coupe x reg and hes got a problem with remote locking. He'll lock the car via remote but every now and again after 5 mins or so the alarm keeps going off, this is beginning to happen more frequently. Is there anyway of resetting it?

There must be a way of 'talking' to the car to find out what's triggering the alarm .... Cheapo Tech II?? Turn interior sonics off?? bonnet switch not making proper contact with the bonnet???

I had similar on my old astra - was the power sounder.

could also be bonnet switch - easy to try by unplugging it.
