Title: insurance cost

was looking as a 2.5 v6 cd estate auto the questions i asked were answered great But the next question is insurance why is it so dear? car cost £250 ,,,,7+years no claims 46 years old  NO speeding or other things to concider,,,£475 a year?,,,,,
-------Any idears for cheeper insurance??,,,

I'm with these, and they're no too bad. I pay about £270 fully comp with 3 years NCD on an Omega 2.0GLS. I found it through one of through one of the search sites. Everythings done on line. If you need your insurance documents, then you just print it out.

Swiftcover are the cheapest for me as well - and no-one has got close for the last 3 years either.

Try confused.com or a similar search engine..

I agree this and other insurance price grabbers are the way forward.

If you have an hour to spend sitting at the computer then follow this guide, tells you all you need to know like how "tweeking" you job title can have a big diffrence!

i'm with direct line they are the cheapest i found
£450 fully comp
im 27 with 9 points on a 2.5 v6 cdx saloon
my points come off next year ive been a good boy

Likewise Direct Line ---- full NCB, protected, wrong side of 50 (depends on your point of view of course .... 51), fully comp, SDP & Business, kept on forecourt at night £210 .... swiftcover quoted me £203 ... but have claimed thru Direct Line twice now and am more thhan happy with the way they handled things.

For anyone over 50, try SAGA.
My 3.0L elite with NO voluntary excess, fully comprehensive is £200.74.

try churchill
im paying £172 for the 2.0 gls fully comp
and £202 for the 3.0 elite fully comp
both with swmbo on as named drivers
1 accident no point though

Foty eleven...good one... :)

I kept getting post from them too - binned it...
Then moneymarket.com came up with Saga as cheapest - could not believe how low their quote was since I live in London. Other quotes started at £365 with huge excess.
But yes, I have their insurance now without voluntary excess.
Personally I do not believe in voluntary excess, I am paying them to insure me so not giving any more money away !!
