Title: Risk of £1000 pound fine for failing to renew

Uk Photo Driver licence may not realise that there licence expires have to be renewed every ten years last year out of 15000 people who sholud have renewed there licence only 10000 did. failure to renew the licence can cost you £1000 fine.

Mines from 1979 and it is just green paper..but now very dog-eared..why should I pay just for a new bit of plastic ?

I passed mine in 79 too.
I still have a paper licence for the same reason. ;)


Is your green licence valid in main land Europe?  :-/

The last time I hired a car in Europe with the old licence (4 years ago) I was told they were about to stop accepting non-photo licences. I moved house after that and had to have a new style licence. >:(
