I prefer Aldi - their
toys tools are pretty usefull
-
On the face of it a great deal. :y :y
But I was also taught by professional mechanics in my early car mechanic training days to always buy the best tools you could afford, and never purchase the cheap versions as they could let you down badly when you needed them. :-X
Is this still true, or has the world moved on as with so much else??! :-? :-?

do you mean the spanners that stretch wider when you go to undo a nut ;D ;D

I'm really lucky, got an Aldi, Lidl and Netto all within walking distance. Love the tools and stuff in Aldi's and Lidl's can't stand Netto's tho!

Don't talk about Aldi. I went a bit over budget on their air tools on Sunday. ::)
Still, I have a garage full of toys to play with now. :D

I was tempted to do the same.....expcet there is no room in the garage for an airtool, let alone the compressor ;D
Gotta get (and keep) it tidy!

Luckily ours seems to keep this sort of thing for quite a while :y :y

No. Already had one of those. I got (from memory) a spot blaster, nailer / stapler, impact wrench, ratchet, cutoff tool, nibbler & filter/regulator/oiler. All appear to work Ok and cost was about £100 including some food shopping. :y

Oh, and if the Havant store was anything to go by, they were piled high and not shifting very fast.

Which compressor do you have Kevin?

I've got one of these... http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/tiger/path/airmaster-2
It was only just over £80 when I bought it. If I were buying again I'd be tempted by the ALDI one, as it looked quite reasonable and Machine mart have put the prices up.
As with all cheap direct drive compressors it makes a fair din and will run out of puff given continuous use of thirsty tools, but for what I use it for it's fine.

You want one of these!

True, of course, but there'd be precious little garage left for anything else.
Then again, I could always mount it in the roof space. :y Might get a bit noisy though.

dont forget that big ones need a very good power source as they take a lot of amps
