Had ongoing issues as many know with my battery :( culminating yesterday in Vx Main Dealer not having a clue about the correct one for my car or having it in stock or being able to order it.
Yesterday i removed the battery to give it a good charge to get me through the week untill i get to another main dealer next Saturday.
Remember my mv6 is an ex main dealer`s director car. Full documented 80000miles servie history from a very well known Glasgow Main Dealer. I also know the last and only owner ( said Director) did nothing personally to the car. Therefor i deduce the battery would have been changed by a garage, probably his.
Imagine my surprise when i removed the battery to see its a 50AMP battery!!!!!!!!
No wonder the darn things been struggling in the the cold mornings :(

You need at least a 70amp.

yes i know ;D
should be 72amp in my car, i've taken the 66amp out the v6 vectra to tide me over.
Oh and by the way 50amp is what should be in a corsa etc :D

Bless them....

50 amp is fine as long as you don't switch-on the rear windscreen heater... or the wipers... or the radio... or the main beam... or the dipped beam... or the ignition. ;D

So basically just sit in the car and pretend to drive ;)
