Title: rather useless piece of s#!te
Post by: Gaffers on 28 February 2009, 13:26:47
Finally got the replacement crowsfoot socket for the oil pipe unions after 3 weeks wait!  Started work today and discovered that ne of the union bolts are not equal, is this normal?  One side fits about 19mm the other prob about 20mm.  So gave up on that one and tried the other.  This one is equal all round but then I got a quarter turn into it before realising the uniob bolt has fused to the pipe.  The pipe is now contorted and if I go any further I will kill the pipe.  So it looks like a trip to the stealers after all and a large bill no doubt. grrrrrr  >:(

Can something go right for me this week?

Well it can get worse.....  i fitted a new rad to my rover turbo - that i snapped the top off trying to remove the hose to put antifreeze in  so cost me 107 for no real reason -
Oh yeah but now i have the mother of all oil leaks, that i think the rac man caused by using a solid bar to tow me - over speed humps at 15mph  >:(
I did get it on video but they wil probably say it is inadmissable evidence due to the car moving whilst i was videoing it :-( and f'ing this f'ing that whlst i was crunching over the bumps >:( >:(
