There used to be plenty of normal MGM's about, but even those have disappeared.  You tend to only see those at shows nowadays.

Hunter = Paykan, and it was Iran.

The Monty/Maestro are being suitably re-hashed in China on a regular basis - Montego front end (long nose) on a Maestro arse - SOOOOO out of proportion!

I loved them and they were quite quick for there time but they rusted as quick as they went. They only made 505 of them so quite rare :)

What you as well.......!  December 1977(http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t261/olympia5776/Ouch1.jpg)

And as it's sitting in the garage just now. :y

Incidently, there's a MG Metro (non turbo ) sitting in a garage of a house we maintain over here. It belongs to the wife of the owner who can no longer drive due to failing eyesight but they wont sell or dispose of it believing it to be an appreciating asset .....Mmmmm ?

I never saw any Rustin Maestslows in India......plenty of Fiats though!

The Maestro turbo was a rather awful car, a classic example of how not every car is capable of and ever should have an engine above 1600cc in normaly aspirated form!

That is very nice

I always much preferred the Manta over the likes of the Crapi, it handled and drove a shit load better to with better engines to boot!

I wonder if the Crapi's rear cart springs had anything to do with its crap handling?  ::) :y :y

That is the low compression version Avenger engine as well, hmm 90mm pistons (the 7.8 are heavily dished) and a Kent cam would liven that up A LOT ;D

A lot

Hence the popularity of spring clamps

All they do is make the rear end even worse on modern roads due to rendering then incapable of tracking the road!
