Evening All,
Had mig over to visit Hotel21 today. Had the gearbox and climate software updated and cruise enabled, all systems checked and few faults codes cleared.
Gearbox was running V1 software, now on V10, and what a difference, the changes are now very, very smooth, and its not lost between picking 3rd and 4th as it was sometimes before. At 70 the revs are sitting around 200 less and it seems it has wee bit torque, definately recommend getting this done!
The Climate works more gradually and theres no gale force 9 when you first get in the car, climates always been good but it's keeps the temp a bit more stable.
Had already fitted a cruise stalk but need it cruise enabled, had this done too, all working as it should, already had a stalk, but it can't be much cheaper to get cruise enabled on the omega than this!
Hotel21 checked and cleared a few faults codes, 1 on for the cd played and 1 engine code. Tech2 can light up the climate display to check everythings ok and low fuel light, overheat warning light, brake warning light etc All worth checking as you may never know the check bulbs gone until its to late...
Overall very impressed with what tech2 can do and I can only highly recommend getting the updates done, tranformed the gearbox on mine anyway and I've got cruise!! :y

1998 GLS Estate. 68K and about mint, so might be worth spending a bob or two.

if its mini facelift, only the autobox is worth doing - will be gs820 ecu, most likely running v5, upgradable to v9.
