Bit of a chequered past then Johnny?? ::)

You`ve got a few days yet to practice your defendant-terrifying "shocked/horrified/angry" Juror facial expressions...`might as well have a bit of fun whilst you`re there, Jimbob!
Just some legal pointers:
The one in the fancy dress is the Judge.
The one`s in the robes and wigs earn more than you do.
The black guy in the suit is the defendant. ;D
.....and finally:
Sadly, they no longer have the death penalty: even though it might seem the defendant rightly-deserves to receive one! >:(

Trust me, judges do NOT have a sense of humour :-[
Which is surprising when they dress up like little boy fondlers....

Anyone know the form on farting in court?

As said, the bloke who always turns up late and delays proceedings has had a sense of humour transplant. So whilst many would find it amusing, he won't. Miserable bastard.

I'm afraid thats true.. Mum is so serious that I have seen her laugh rarely only after retirement :(

I had to do it a few years back at the old bailey.
I found it quite intresting but I was put on an attempted murder case. :o

Be prepared for a lot of hanging about - take a good book !!!
I work part-time in the Crown Courts, and the number of cases that start on time can be counted on the fingers of one hand !!!
Once a trial actually starts then timings are reasonably good, but getting to that point can take a long time... numerous legal arguments, plea changes, evidence discussions, witnesses not turning up .. all adds up to the jury panel hanging around just waiting to be "sworn".
It is very surprising how many folks who sit on a jury get "interested" in the Courts and ask about jobs, and quite a few go further and apply to be magistrates.
But the Magistrates Court is a totally different ball-game to Crown Court ... you won't find me in a "maggies" if I can help it !!!
:)
Oh .. and BTW ... out of Court the Judges DO have a sense of humour ... and most of them are really nice guys (and the ones I work with don't understand some of the happenings we read about either) .. it's just that in Court they have a very serious job to do ... and at all times have to keep the "Court of Appeal" in mind as ANYTHING the defence barrister can use to appeal ... they will.
