Title: Torque Wrench
Post by: DaveyDavey on 07 March 2009, 16:38:35
Afternoon all,

The weather is getting better, so time to do all those jobs that I've been putting off!

I need to get myself a torque wrench and was wondering if anyone had any sensible suggestions? Halfords do an 8 - 60nm "professional" one for £49.99 - Are they any good?

TIA

 :)

I believe its under £40 if you have a Halfords Trade card ;)

I do own one of those torque wrenches, does the job. There are other cheaper options about, such as Sealey (I have one of theirs), but I always find I end up using the Halfords one for low torque stuff, and my old SP one for bigger stuff.

Thanks TB.

Unfortunately my trade doesn't qualify me for one, so full price for me  :'(

One other question though if you don't mind - What torque should the 4 plenum bolts be refitted with? Can't seem to find them listed on the torque values or the guide.
