Title: Baby drivers

Saw a Mondeo about 1/2 hour ago - small child sitting on lap steering the car - on a public road :o

My little lad can steer my car quiet well (especially when ive had a skinfull)....cant reach the peddles yet.

Mind you he is only two... ;D

When I was about 3 or 4, my grandad used to sit me on his lap when driving the car and I'd steer (he did have hold of the wheel aswell)

what id be more concerned about is if there was an accident,can you imagine what would happen the child between the adult and steering wheel.

I was caught with my daughter, or son (alzheimer's setting in - can't remember now) 'driving' along Blackpool seafront through the lights by the Boyz in Blue, it was right at the end next to the donation collection tub too! She/he was about 3 at the time, about 17 or 18 yrs back, the copper explained the errors of my ways and sent me on my way. We were only about 5 mph!  ::)

Nice to see a little discretion being used....

That said - on today's roads, it's totally out of order.....
