Title: Worth a punt?
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 08 March 2009, 12:51:43

What do yee reckon - is this worth a sensible offer?

Classic oil cooler failure - I just wonder if the noise is actually just lifters, due to contaminated oil?  :-/

There's an awful lot of wear on the drivers seat for 78000 miles ::)

Possibly in the habit of wearing his mobile phone pouch on his right hip ----  Be better to have a listen and offer £350 if doesn't sound too terminal.

My thoughts exactly....  But seller may well be an exceptionally oversized individual with very short legs though....   :-X

Price it as though the big ends are gone and then work upwards accordingly....

On the plus side......at least it is priced sensibly.....

On the downside his feedback aint that good......

Wouldnt bother myself...buying a problem car from an honest Ebayer is risky enough, let alone a guy like that...........!!!

If you can get it for, say, £350, it may be worth dropping a new lump into.

I will have to refrain - based solely on the distance.

If it had Legal Docs I would risk the engine condition and carefully run it home....  but it would be madness to do so without T+T, and transport costs make it non-viable...

Probably been clocked or had a speedo change, hence no docks, maybe a reg check will get the MOT details to check mileage.
