Title: what should i do with my 98 cdx??
Post by: Richie London on 09 March 2009, 15:48:36
now ive got my new 2.5 elite i dont know what to do with the 98 cdx. cant sell as no mot or tax, needs a lot doing to it. i.e cam belt, either oil cooler or head gasket, front broken spring, got dis pack but not changed. and im sure quite a few other things. the question is what is there on a 98 2.5 that i could strip down and keep for spares for the 2001 elite. has 6 new leads on it, hbv is about 6months old, crank sensor is about 5 months old, battery is 5 months old. 4 nearly new tyres, and 4 month old windscreen.  so come on guys, give me a list that i could salvage before i scrap it. also vaux brake pads arent even 3 months old.
and also how could i get it over to my mums house to strip it down with no tax insurance and mot. it still starts on first click so not a prob driving it.

How about day insure it, take it for mot (prebooked) then to your mum's to be repaired.

get all the goddies off it and call a local scrapper to take it away?

shame it has no Tax as the RAC would recover it for you if it were to break down :y

No but if it's booked in for an MOT you can drive it there without tax or MOT and you can drive it away afterwards, to your mothers for instance.

Insure it............then torch it.................Claim on the insurance............then cancel the remainder of the insurance policy.
Not sure if this action is totally legal.........but........... :y :y :y

P.S. richie.......take off all the good bits before it mysteriously combusts. :y :y....shame to waste good Omega parts. :y :y
