Title: Opps - I'd broken DNS for OOF
Post by: TheBoy on 09 March 2009, 21:56:37
When I last rebuilt the DNS server in December. Never noticed until today :o

Result was only one of the Authoritive servers for OOF was able to resolve urls  ::)

Oppps, don't think anyone noticed though - it only came to light tracing a problem with another website hosted here  ;D

Only half the initial requests to resolve dns would be slow...

about 50% of the time, your initial connection to OOF would take around 5s longer than normal.  Unless the primary authoritive DNS server, went down, in which case, no OOF ;)
