just been offered an ar35 3ltr auto box for 150. is it worth that? it is for converting for the td!

Pricewise yes - but only if it's proven working - warranty is OK but not enough as it means that is it's not good you'll have to take it off and bring it back to the seller (happened to me with an engine once  :()

the guy selling is off ebay. mutantcav. has good feedback. he says its done 86k. might try it for 100 coz its in surry and gonna cost me to get it up to warrington.

AR35's tend to be very strong gearboxes, I have one in my 24v Senator. Still silky smooth at 141k miles  :y

I read that as ar53... Thought you lot had adapted numbers to replace letter, as happens so often on the net :P

Shame I didn't know Andi, I have two AR35's out of Senators in my garage that aren't doing anything. Both good when removed from their respective cars.
