Stepsons scooter has been off the road for a couple of weeks, won’t start. I have been too ill to sort it. Anyway just decided to summon up enough energy to put a new plug in it, it’s a scooter so working blind through a small access hole.
Plug has to be lined up central so is a little tricky, anyway dropped the dam thing and can we find it, no way. :'( Lifted and shook the bike but no sign of the plug. >:(
Left the poor lad, who knows not one end of a spanner from another, with a socket set trying to get a couple of side panels off. That or a new plug next week. There are some jobs that you wish you had never started. :-/
Bloomin scooters, never had this problem with my Honda SS50 :D

Panels off, still no sign :'( :'( left him looking and feeling, it has to be somewhere
Bless him, he has just called be to the garage, said he has found this hole thing that it might have fallen into. Yes, Kris, that is where the plug goes, no it has not fallen in the engine, if it were there you would feel it :) It's keping him busy. :y

I used to love working on my old Honda City Express - it used to eat spark plugs for breakfast :y

Well swmbo and myself spent ages searching today, big lights and searched the bike and garage area, no sign at all :'( I am happy to buy another new one, and I bet any money that as soon as I do the original will turn up :( :( :(

you may be doing him a favour
i have found people who have fathers who are "handy with a spanner" and can turn their hands to most things often turn out to be completely handless with tools as they have never needed to touch tools as dad always done it
I know that i am like that i cant stand to watch someone else do something I must get involved and usually i take over.
so it may not be a bad thing taking things apart is the sorting them is the best way to learn.

Well, the law of sod kicked in today. Went and bought another plug, said to the Guy that you can bet your life that I will find the other one now.
As soon as I started to put in the new one I sussed where the other one had fallen, side cover off to a cooling fan and hey presto.
Put the new plug in and he presto, fired straight away. Will finish off putting the panels back tomorrow. :y :y :y
