Title: Security "heads up"
Post by: Tony H on 12 March 2009, 19:34:46
Something that I saw on the net yesterday pretty worrying when you consider the amount of barrel type locks that are in use. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5177213949300140850

But I think thought of a countermeasure. If the lock was disassembled  and the lock pins were coated in thick grease that would stop free travel of the pins in the lock if someone tried to "bump it" It would also be a very cheap and easy modification to do in manufacture of the lock

This has been around for a while.  A set of bump keys of the internet can be bought for a ton.... quite easy  :-/
