Title: Michael Jackson
Post by: bob.dent on 13 March 2009, 10:08:24
Despite all the controversy thats surrounded him in the past I have to admit I'm a big Jacko fan. His music was and still is some of the best music in modern day, I mean, just try keeping still when listening to the likes of Billie Jean, Thriller, The Way You Make Me Feel etc.
Sooo, I thought I'd try and get some tickets this morning and guess what?......yep, the official site is in meltdown. There are some unscrupilous agency's offering tickets but prices starting around £190.00 for what are probably crap seats!! >:(
Oh well, I'll keep trying but will probably end up paying through the nose like thousands of other fans.  :'(

Over 1,000,000 tickets sold in record time. :o

I've looked at some so called "ticket agencies" now selling £75.00 tickets for a grand or more - thieving scumbags!! >:(

I heard one bloke on the radio at lunchtime say that he'd close his curtains if michael jackson was playing in his back garden.  ;D

One of the girls in my office got two tickets - third row centre - for £85 each, and is now considering selling them. She reckons she can get a grand apiece for them, then beg the company for seats in our box at the O2 for nothing.  >:(

I don't mind Jacko.  I like his music, well most of it.  But I just can't see that he's going to survive a 50 gig tour or whatever he's going to do.  He looks so frail now-a-days...    :-[

Not my cup of tea but i'm a bit of an aging bike scene rocker. Even if he was'nt a breaked up freak the music is too soppy handbag girlie for me. If i was given tickets i'd sell 'em Not my scene.
Each to thier own though. Many folk hate rock.

so it £10,000 for 4 tickets

my other half managed to get through to ticketmaster and got 4 tickets in a much better position than those mentioned above on flea-bay at £5k for 2 - maybe I can persuade her to sell them and we can buy a bigger house with the money!!!!!

Absolute money grabbing to$$ers as far as I'm concerned. These opportunists or touts have no interest in the artist and are just out for q quick profit denying the real fans of a once in a lifetime opportunity. >:(

At least I got to see him at Wembley Stadium in the mid 80's when he was probably at his peak. 8-)

My God you are right; the "pair" description fooled me. ;) :y

These and those for £16,000, are just extreme, but if the market is there............. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

To think these tickets, when I first looked at the O2 site when all this was announced, the tickets were going for £75, £50 and £35 each! ::) ::) ::)

no reason to be embarrassed about being a fan, all walks of life seem to like his music, he did so much of it there's a few that suit everyone's taste, i have a list of my own favourites

regardless of how f**ked up he may be or whether or not he was guilty of the allegations that made the news, he's a music legend... or at least was!
