Post by: Jimbo B on 15 March 2009, 21:28:18
I was sent this and thought I'd pass it on
If you need to call a company with a telephone number beginning 0870 or
> 0845, go into www.saynoto0870.com .   You will be able to find an
> alternative local number - hence saving money.  There are other number
> prefixes shown once you go into the site..
> Gas... electric... Comet... John Lewis, etc. etc.  The list is endless.

Not sure on that, you know how BT advertise. . . . . .

Just rung them.  0870 and 0845 numbers are only free in your calling plan free time.  So evening and weekend calls that are free then inc those numbers at that free time period.

The 03 numbers are replacing the 0845 and 0870 numbers and will be charged at all times.
