Title: Sand Blasting
Post by: HolyCount on 21 March 2009, 19:41:07
Anybody have any idea as to what the smalllest useful compressor I can get away with for small scale sand blasting.  The antique I have at the mo is 2 HP with a 25 litre reservoir ( can't recall psi of cfm offhand).

I've got a 2.5hp 25l I've used for small items with an adapted spot blaster from Aldi. Works well enough.

Never sandblasted a car, but I have done this on the boiler of steam railway engine Merchant Navy Class 35018 British India Line many years ago.  Great fun to start with, but very time consuming, boring, and very thirst making!! ::) ::) :D ;)  The fine sand got everywhere!! :o :o ::) ::)

Have fun HC! 8-) 8-) 8-)
