Title: Vibration through steering when braking
Post by: Moos3h on 22 March 2009, 21:04:09
Hi all,

Am I right in thinking that a Vibration initially when braking (worse if braking hard at speed) is likely to be down to warped discs?

I notice my discs have a HUGE lip on them...time to get down Kwik fit?

Anything else I should consider?

Cheers,
James

It's usually warped disks. When you have new ones, don't sit with your foot on the brakes at lights etc, especially in hot weather & after heavy breaking, this action usually causes the warping.

Is it an easy job?  Bear in mind i'm a bit of a numpty!  When it comes to brakes, I think I'd prefer to entrust it to a professional...even if it's Kwik Fit!
