Title: Samsung 22" LCD - Opinions
Post by: Allenm on 18 March 2009, 14:53:03
My son if after getting one of these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-T220HD-22-inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B0017PBPTC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1237387636&sr=1-3

It is described as a monitor, although it has DTV tuner built-in.  So apart from not being able to watch analogue signals from an arial (which wont be an option much longer), what makes this anything other than a cheap full HD 22" lCD Tv?

Am I missing something.  It will only be used for xbox/ps3 but may want to use it as a tv later?

thoughts?

reasonable price, i have a 20" Wide screen LG TFT, i use it for everything, my Mac, xbox, and TV, it supports picture in picture so can have my mac on and watch TV.

That samsung looks limiting on connections though, mine has VGA, DVI, couple of Scarts, and RCA

Pictures did not show that, nor did the main tech list, until to go 'full' details.

They can be found cheaper though, i paid £169 for my 20" 2 years ago

Samsung are good, i have them as work monitors.

Also i think they still do their pixel deal?

When i bought a 19" 4:3 samsung a while ago, if it had a single dead or hot pixel, they swapped it out no quibbles.

Think thats for 3 years too!
