They do weird stuff in California...
Very concerned with excess heat and its consequences...
Have you heard about the fires that spread thru California a while ago...??

Most modern climate control systems work by running the air con regardless, and heating the car as well if it gets too cold - so how exactly do they work any harder on black cars?

Nice idea they've pulled out of their @rse there... ;D

how about they concentrate on getting better bhp out of their lumps, reducing the need for bigger cc capacity.

as a car heats up quicker due to the sun coming through the glass perhaps windowless cars will be next ;D ;D

I don't condone what they are wanting, but Mythbusters tested this theory, and yes a black car parked in the sun does get much hotter than a white car.

Personally prefer darker colour cars, wonder how the old metalflake paints would deal with reflecting the sun ?
