Title: Hideing Speaker Cables.

Joiner will be finishing the woodwork off next week in my new place,

Have been considering options to hide netwok cables arround the house and the speaker cable on my amp.  3 x pairs + front and rear centre speakers and sub

above seems about the same size skirting board I will be getting from my local DIY store.

Most speaker cables in any one trunking run will be 4

i put all my cables in the wall as im doing the house up , so network sat , tv , bose etc all hidden , no trunking

hi mate, im a sparky, u can buy nice decorative self adhesive mini trunking,called d~line,comes in  semi circular or quadrant form,and theres also jointers and pre formed bend available,very tidy,not much dearer either,try www.meteorelectrical.co.uk :y

Considered it, but the builder got daft on prices so I didnt bother.

Another option is to run it around the floor just inboard of the carpet gripper rail before carpets are laid - assuming you're having carpets and don't move things around too much.

Mine run under the carpet, to 2 speakers in the corners of the room, cable will always be there but I can update the spekers if I need to.. :y

I had the same idea, but I thought if I ran at least 2 pairs of cables from corner to corner and left the length of the central wall lose, then I could also have my TV and amp at either end of the room.
