Well, got a phone call form my stepson, his scooter has broken down, only a couple of miles away. Went out to have a look. Drive Belt by the sounds of it, called out the recovery service and we sat in the car till the breakdown truck arrived, to bring him and the scooter home.
At least in a few months when he gets a car we can just tow it back, there is confidence for you. ::) ::) ::)
I am sure there will be other parents who have experienced these phone call themselves...... :y
Cost of recovery is met by his insurance company :y :y :y

In our day Mike, mopeds came with pedals didn't they. He could've pedalled (sp?) it home then ..... and you could have stayed at home in the warm & dry! ::) :y :y :y

My pedals could both point forward and lock, a la footrests, good old Honda SS50 ;D ;D ;D
We were sitting in the car and at one point he said that he could have pushed it home by now.

Well, just bought a Haynes Manual for it from ebay ::)
Anyone ever changed a belt on these modern scooters, I am assuming you just remove the panel on the left of the rear wheel and put it on. :-/
