Title: A distinct smell of fish......
Post by: hotel21 on 26 January 2007, 23:34:33
OK.  Not really wanting to prejudge, but my instincts kinda tell me otherwise....

I regularly trawl E-bay for things which may potentially tickle my tastebuds and this particular thing has appeared a few times over the past weeks ....

whitebait or smoked salmon? (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Omega-3-2-Irmscher-Ltd-MV6-Saloon-very-rare_W0QQitemZ300075084699QQihZ020QQcategoryZ9858QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Its at least the third or fourth time that I recall it listing for......

Anyone kept a track of the prices it has previously (not) gone for?

More curious than keen, I hasten to add.  If the 'Genuine VX replacement engine' was exactly that, why punt it back up to the baying wolves again?

It does look pretty though  ;)  Nice colour.

Yeah, colour seems sound, as does the majority of the assorted bumff that goes with it....

Just wondering why its been there, not done that, so often of late...

And its still only done 400 miles on the replacement engine?

I think the first time it was listed it had a full years MOT, now 8 months?.

Just wondering what the difference in price has been and why its not been snapped up before now....

His biggest problem is always the same. His opening price. No-one will bid at that.

Nice looking car, but as you say, something is a bit "questionable"  :-/

Thats the third time it has been on e-bay, the last time his reserve was £7,200.00 or you were also able to buy it now at 7200.

I'm wondering about this too - in fact why sell at all?

This makes me wonder why sell it if nothing is wrong with it?

The seller has lowered the starting price to £1000. Probably the same unrealistic reserve though.
