Title: The school animal man....

.....does anybody else who went to primary school in the late 70's and early 80's remember an old man (one eye I think) who used to bring rare animals in (snakes, Owls etc).....

.....he used to turn up with them in big blue boxes and was brilliant but, I cant remember what his name was!

I know he covered loads of schools all over the country

he never made it to deepest buckinghamshire....

I heard they let him out, he went home to see his wife packing her bags. He says 'Why are you packing your bags and she said "I didn't know you were such a degenerate" and Gary Glitter says "Thats a big word for an eight year old"  ::)

I vaguely remember someone turning up with a Boa Constrictor and a Tarantula and letting us handle them. Can't see that getting past the H&S Police these days. :(

We must be talking 1976-1980 at a guess.

There used to be an old fella who was known as "buck Alec" who had a pet lion and used to walk around Belfast with it on a lead,in the 50,s/60s.
