One of the over paid geeks at work has one....agree it looks cramped inside and well in my humble opinion bloody ugly little thing.

The Turbo version?. :-* :-* :-* :-*
No....i was going to start with the Non-turbo ::)
I remember Clarkson driving one and he said it was quite roomy :-/
Yes im over 6ft and not of slender build ::)
It is a car that you love or hate the way it looks :D

As good as an Elise in my view.Just badge snobbery marks it down. :-* :-* :-*

mate had a Lotus Elise, one of the new ones, the build was quite bad, lots of trim falling off.
Hopefully Vx did the better job!

Who needs trim? It's supposed to be a sports car FFS!

Trim as in the window winders! :o
On his when you wound down the window, it also undid the nut holding the winder on ;D
Ohh and the headlight kept falling out :D

Better built than an Elise and with better power plants.
There a great car to drive and more roomy inside than you would think (you need to 'fit' tightly in them as they corner VERY well)
Great fun, I would have one if the cash was spare (but it would be the turbo version!)
-
Whilst i would love a Turbo, they are group 19/20 and about 3-4k more than an N/A.
Does the Turbo really warrent the extra costs involved???????

didn't someone on here buy one a while back?
-
Its a better bet as an everyday car than the Elise (the roof is a less fiddly, the engine is smoother, more powerful and less prone to head faileur, it is quieter inside and has some everday equipment options like A/C, ABS, carpets ect). That said, as a track car, the more supple suspension and ABS make it less suitable. I guess you will already have discovered how acrobatic you need to be to get in/out of it LOL!! And forget about bringing any luggage with you.
Don't really know about the VXs common problems, only the engine is shared with the omega, but probably not that dissimilar to the elise.
Personally I love the angular agressive looks. It makes the Elise look toy-like :)

The engine is NOT shared with the Omega....its the Y22....chain based setup!
