Title: How far does £10 of BP go
Post by: TheBoy on 05 April 2009, 21:27:53
Needed to take the MV6 for a little test yesterday, but fuel light was on.  I put in a tenner (petrol expensive here, should have been enough for a little spin, and the 27m to work on Tuesday (where fuel is cheaper)). How many miles did I manage before fuel light came on again

I have voted 26-30 miles, but knowing how you have stated that you can go through a set of tyres in 4k miles.................. ::) ::) :D :D ;)

That was Avon's on the tractor :o

The MV6's SP9000s on the back have been on for around 3yrs/20k, still a fair amount of meat left

I went for 15-20, coz it depends how long the fuel light was on to start with......
I know my Viano, if i let the guage nearly point at 0, and the fuel light has been on for nearly a couple of hours (local running about) then putting a tenner of diesel in it.....lets it go for about 1 hour (15-20 miles) before the light comes on again  ::)

15-20 ...   :y :y :y

TB doesn't need an accelerator pedal, he needs a switch, its either ON - flat to the floor, or OFF - brakes applied .....

 :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've gone for the 21-25 bracket as I've managed that on a spirited drive in mine :P ;D

I went for 21-25 too as I can easily see 2 gallons getting that ::) ::) ::)

Now if I were to put £10 worth of BP LPG in I'd be looking at about 75 miles of fairly enthusiastic driving ;D ;D :y :y

Light had come on whilst idling on driveway when I has bleeding the air out of the coolant. BP is a mile away.

Well I put £50 in mine the other day and went for a spin and the computer showed 7 to 9 mpg most of the time so 1st choice for me.
