Not yet, but some mfrs (inc vauxhall) are offering it as a min px on some new cars. My local vauxhall dealer are offering a scrappage type insentive against the latest "green" corsa.
-
Glyn Hopkin Group are already offering it... That's where I've ordered SWMBO new Panda from as they gave £2k on her 1992 Rover! Only downside with the offer is there's no discount whatsoever on the price of the car, so her Panda @ £8370 OTR seems a bit steep! :o :o
All works out good though and now she's got a new car I can start working on her for me getting a new bike ::) ::)

I think it's an iniative being thought about by the government. If your vehicle is over 9 years old, and you agree for it to be scrapped they will give you £2000 towards a new car. All about trying to get people to drive cleaner, more efficient cars.
But would you not simply buy a £50 banger and trade it in for your £2000?
-
Which means you could haggle the £2000 off the price of the car and still sell your own privately. Lets face it, they will do anything to get a sale at the moment.

Whoo Hooo £1600 profit......Oh bugger i just thought i aint got the rest for a new motor!!!! :P

Remember, Vx Bristol wouldn't give me a penny for my 2000 Miggy against a new insignia last month >:(
