Title: CH 5 on sky
Post by: oceansoul on 07 April 2009, 20:19:53
Is anyone else having problems with C5 (or the other 5 related channels i.e. fiver and 5US) on sky? Mine just says no sat signal being received. All other channels are fine (except the 5 related channels). Nothings moved etc.

Had the same problem, just unplug the box for 5 minutes, the C5 channels changed to a different frequency's but didn't re-tune on some sky boxes.

Could that be the reason why our freeview box isn't playing any of the five related channels without breaking up?

If you're tuned into Crystal Palace, CH5 is (as I recall) on a different mast to all the others and so often suffers from reception problems.

I, too, get picture break-up or "No Signal" message on Freeview.

I believe it is just due to the frequency changing - I managed to sort out my home TVs that wern't recieving it by re-tuning.  :)

I just checked it out. Ch5 analogue is definitely transmitted from a mast at Croydon, although this link seems to suggest digital does come from CP, but it's not clear.
