I am thinking of updating my mini facelift elite to a facelift. If i do change it will be for a Diesel, there are not to many Elite Diesels out there but there do seem to be a few CDX models, so i wea just wondering if anyone could tell me whats missinhg from the CDX that you would get on the Elite.
Cheers, Jez

Bose, leather, rear blind, maybe sat nav..... and a little badge :)
-
On top of the usual CDX toys the Elite has Bose, parking sensors, 17inch alloys, electric seats with memory, auto dimming rear view mirror, rear blind. Leather was an option even on elites as was sat nav.
-
I suspect parking sensors were an option as well as my elite (2000) does not have any.
-
parking sensors came in around 2002, were standard from then.
3.0 Elite, leather is standard, everything else it was an option

Rear heated seats not standard on CDX, nor self levelling suspension :y

the happy glow from knowing you have it all :y

Thats why i am loathed to go for the CDX, you do get spoilt with the elite :-/
-
Elite diesels go for silly money but I`ve seen quite a few of the CDX`s with leather. Bose you can do without, self-levelling not really a necessity, the other trinkets are easy enough to source :y
This is the one you want :) :y http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1239048679

self-levelling not really a necessity, .....

I know its the one i want but unfortunatly just a bit out of my price range at the moment which is a shame but thats life :(

Elite has:
Leather (although not standard on 2.5, 2.6 and 2.2 diesels)
Memory seats, mirrors and rear view mirror
Bose sound
Self leveling suspension
HID lights (although facelift CDx models also have this)
Heated rear seats
3.0 and 3.2 post 2001 Elite also had NCDC2013 nav (colour screen was an option)
Post 2002 had park pilot parking sensors
Post 2002 had auto wipers.
-
I should add, of all those, the only one I would really want is the Bose.... and possibly the nav.
-
Thanks all, on ballence i have to agree Mark, a lot of what you list to be fair i never use, would miss the HIDs but looking at facelift anyway so they would be there and would miss the bose too, but guess that could be added. Thanks all again, food for thought :y

I am not a big fan of leather (although I have just bought a car with full leather :-/)
-
what have you bought mark? is that to replace the bent one? I have had leather in my Range Rovers, as nice as they look, hot in the summer and cold in the winter, even leccy seat warmers are a slow process unless you start the motor up and leave them on for 15min before you drive it. :-/

I would personaly have chosen the Monaro which was a simialr price (much older mind) but, the fuel costs to Coventry and back would be a little to much for me.
Now where can I get that CDTi tuning box that ups the power to 190bhp..........

I just could not bring myself to do that.
I would have gone the Monaro route and plonked LPG on it.

I would have thought a VeccyC 3.0 CDTi would be a good choice for your commute?
If you really want a mum look could have gotten the Estate version
