Title: Carpets
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 12 April 2009, 20:05:20
I went to look at some new carpets on Thursday.  Had 3 or 4 colour choices in mind, but didnt really know what I wanted.  Considered a few carpet types working down from 100% wool.  Seems the only ones I really liked are the exspensive nes and staring arround the £65/70 mark which is a complete no no.

Amyway I continues looked and was shown a range of carpets with a nice feel to them.  Colours varied from Mushroom through a biscuit type colour and on the browms (coco/coffe) which I had never even considered.  No other colours like green or blue.  Then just a dark red/crimson carpet and finally a black one.

Never in my life have I seen a Black carpet but I keep get drawn back to this one.  Looked brilliant but cant image it on a floor in a room.  Maybe as rugs, yes, have seen a few, but never as a carpet.

Anyone ever seen a Black fitted carpet, or even had one.

Oh yes, had a black carpet in my bedroom as a teenager. love it, if I had a room it would go in now I would, but being the wrong side of 40 it may seem wrong.
Would suggest it would need to go in a room with plenty of light, unless you want the dark nightclub look.

Funnily enough that black carpet lasted for years and was still down in my old bedroom when my parents sold the house in about 97 or 98.

Blacks out then.

Shows up hairspray and crumbs.  Dont normally eat in the bedroom, and I dont use hairspray.  But I get the picture.

Ah well, back to the drawing board. :-/
