Title: HELP!
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 04 February 2007, 21:04:12
Bloody eBay seller has let me down again, and I'm not going to have the ignition barrel and housing that I need in order to start this Omega.

So looking like tomorrow I'm not going to be able to do anything with it.

Question, where the heck can I get an ignition barrel, housing, and key, by tomorrow?

:( :( :( :(

Ok, I just found a guy that's breaking one on ebay, 5 miles from me.

If I come over myself and remove it, then he'll charge me £20.

Guess that's my only option.

you could come to the scrappy near here.... Bloxham

Question is will you use £20 of fuel..... oh the barrel would be free  ;) ;)

However the BIG problem is finding one with a key....

Aye, but with what it would cost in fuel, I may as well pay £20 for the local one, if my scrappy doesn't have one with a key...

Anyone know out of interest, if any astra/veccy/cavvy etc housings/barrels will be the same?

Careful though, I know of a case where someone got arrested for nicking stuff out our local scrappy!

the MID was a bit OTT, usually people pay for the big things, lights, engine parts. But nearly everyone walks out with a pocket full of fuses.

I took every fuse out off a Omega fuse box as well, handy to have and not really worth anything in terms of £££ but i did pay about 3£ for 5 20amp fuses a few months back, so handy to have some for free  :)
