An incredible mind which has flown free of the bounds of it`s imprisoning body: a man whom has defied and confounded the Doctors whom said he would die young......Sadly, I fear Dr. Hawking will not be with us for too much longer; but his astounding intellectual legacy will remain for us, always.

Yes indeed Professor Stephen Hawking is a great man, and it is amazing to thing how much he has achieved despite his severe physical handicap.

We all hope he pulls through, and I believe this morning he is apparently "improved". 8-) 8-)

Not wishing to split hairs and degrade Prof. Hawking's great work, I would however have to say that in my opinion Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955) is the greatest mind of the twentieth century. His achievements were awesome, and did much to direct scientific thinking in that century.

But, Prof. Hawking is certainly one of the twentieth century's greatest minds. :y :y :y

Yep ..............I would have to agree with that Lizzie......Einstein was a true genius.......Hawking is a brilliant man but I do not believe him to be a genius.
I was sad to see that novelist J.G Ballard died last night.......not a genius ......but an independent free thinker and philosopher......who did some great work. :y :y

Albert Einstein has quite a reputation amongst a number of academics as a plagiarist.

Have a look at 'Einstein: The Incorrigable Plagiarist' by Christopher Jon Bjerknes.

To quote Einstein himself, 'The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.'

Make your own mind up.  :-/
