Title: aftermarket alarm/immob
Post by: Bumbazor on 21 April 2009, 13:16:28
Does anyone have a Toad ai606?
What does 5 beeps on disarm (after alarm) mean?

It tells you where the activation was but for the life of me I can't find the booklet for it! I'm fairly sure 3 beeps is the door pins.

Yeah I thought it was the circuit that activated but I have lost my booklet too!
I think 4 beeps is ultrasonics, so if you are right and I am right it's going to be the bonnet or boot pins. Must find that booklet though....

Thanks JJ, so you need to read the flashes on the LED when you disarm

Flashes
2      Sensor Optional sensors
3       Doors (-)
4      Boot/bonnet
5      Doors (+)
6      Ultrasonic sensors
7      Ignition

I found that too but it doesn't have the user guide booklet although it does have led flash codes (which I missed and can not recall) which look like they are different than the beep codes.

No the single beep followed by 4 more beeps signals that an activation has happened, the LED flashes out the location of the activation :y

[edit]I used to fit 3 or 4 of these a week going back a good few years ago :y[/edit]

the LED flashes out the location of the activation

So I need to go back to the history of activations... just as well I can remember PIN!

Didn't need PIN in end but determined it's the boot or bonnet circuit.
Just one more thing; I assume it's the green flashes I count. I got some red in there too; slightly confusing.

I reckon so too.

I of course know where the bonnet switch is and can check that easily but I can't find the boot switch, or rather, where can I check that is a common place the boot circuit can fail?

Got it again today.

Could it be the heat as it's quite warm out there? Maybe it's causing some contacts to make/break when they swell and warp in the heat.
