Title: Stress..........
Post by: ScottieMV6 on 23 April 2009, 10:34:43
Yesterday I found myself very stressed........it was my first day without cigs and I decided that working on my miggy might take my mind off it.

I struggled for an hour underneath the car trying to get the oil filter off and still didn't manage it. In the end I got very f**cked off annoyed and started throwing tools around.

Despite being very stressed I still managed to avoid having a cig!  :y

Keep at it ... you know you want to.  :y
It's one of the hardest things you can do! It's not cheating if you get help via the doctor with Champix etc!  :y  :y  :y

(Smug mode) I gave up smoking about twenty years ago, so you have my sympathy! (Exit smug mode)

Seriously, stick with it, it gets better, honest.  Nicotine is one of the most addictive drugs going (more so than heroin apparently, so I've read!) so it takes some effort to get off the fags, but you can do it.  Patches etc might help - ask your doctor.  If you had a major smoking habit (eg 60 a day, or you were on Woodbines) then it might be better to cut down first or switch to a weaker brand first for a bit rather than go for a sudden crash stop.  Again, speak to your doc.

Good luck!   :y

I'll give up when I run out of duty-free @ £2.05 a 50g pouch , however seem to keep buying it at that price- when I have to pay UK price then I will give up ( maybe)

To cope with stress, I find HP Laser printers make fantastic, albeit expensive, punchbags ::)
