Title: Bloody Good Forum This - Thank You
Post by: RichardB on 24 April 2009, 21:04:22
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to you guys who set this forum up and all those of you who have contributed to it.

By digging around the forum I'm pretty certain I've found the answer I was looking for. I have an intensely annoying stalling problem on my '94 2.5CDX.  The crank sensor has been replaced plus ICV plus MAF sensor. But, seems the crank sensor is the culprit. (Got a code 19). This time will ask the mechanic to pay extra special attention to where the wiring goes!! :)

I bought my first Mig.

When I got round to working on it, I was concerned about the mayonnaise in the filler neck.

Buildup of condensation.

Massive leak of coolant from the back of the engine.

HBV - full instructions on replacement on here.

Plus, I have attended a few meets now and bought some parts from a few guys.

This is a proper site full of great people.

You could do a lot worse. :y

Reroute the wiring when replacing crank sensor. GM made a bit of a arse of the wiring route. Details in Maint Guides (by laidback66 from meory)

Without the OOF`s expert advice and maintenance-guides; my Miggy would`ve been scrapped years ago! :y

Without  OOF I would be driving around in a gear jerking, steering idler wobbling, unserviced, Omega with a knackered MAF, cooling warning light on, wheel bearing wobble, blocked breathers and an unknown last cambelt change..........and with a Vauxhall grill and badging

Thanks to OOF and the brilliant people on it, she is as smooth as silk, pokey as you like, totally reliable and Opel grilled.....

This forum IS great

Not just possible mate its a piece of cake to do as well.......Just swap control stalks and activate cruise via Tech 2

Doesnt get any easier than that!!

We got ours done as soon as we had the car, and paid around £15 off ebay for the stalk if i remember
