Speaking in a hypothetical scenario. How much could I expect to get for my CD?
L plate (1994)
105k miles (geniune!)
2.5 CD
Only rust is a blemish at the bottom corner of a few of the doors.
1 rear light lens has a crack with epoxy on it to keep the rain out.
Exhuast pretty new, 2 new tires on the back, did the discs and pads last December... or was it November? 6 months ago anyway. Upholstery good although leather around the gear knob is a little scuffed.
Ideas?
Looking for a new car and wondering whether to trade in or give someone here first dibs when I'm ready to see the old girl go. Sad really, I've changed the oil every 4k miles and looked after her.

I'd estimate in the current financial and car climate £400-500 only I'm afraid. :'( :'( :'(
-
a tenner?
-
200-250 TBH :-/
-
You dont see many on an L plate.........one of the first, worth about £200

Goverment will give you up to £2000 if you are getting a new, new car :y
-
not worth much really
if its T&T then £200-£250
if its untaxed& not tested then scrap £80!
no one wants these cars so they really are worth rock bottom
-
No, not new new car. New car to me = 10 years old!
That's pretty much what I figured. Tyres are worth more than the car.
Guess my cousin gets the tyres etc and then it'll be flea-bay or possibly trade.
It was indeed 1 of the first in this country. Moreover, I've seen migs 6 or 7 years younger with worse bodywork. Amazing considering it has never been garaged (by me anyway.)
Thanks for that. Now, just got to find a low mileage 3l manual!
-
You'll get pretty much zilch as a trade in -- probably be able to negotiate a better deal without the trade, as the dealer won't have the problem of disposal --- then, if you sell her for a couple of hundred you are still better off.

I got a Manual 3Litre MV6 Mini Facelift for £200 so they do exist although i was lucky my omega was cherished the previous owner even spent £2000 on it 18 months before i bought it having the engine replaced due to t -belt failure!

Is this £2000 scrap value after negotiation.......or is it off full list price only?. :y :y
P.S. ..............L......reg Miggy £100-£250.....sorry. :-/ :-/ :y

Unfortunately it's off full list price AFAIK :-/ :-/
Certainly was from the dealer I ordered SWMBO's new car from 3 weeks ago. That said... Now the government are paying that there may be some room for negotiation now ::) ::)

This from an optimist!
Be a real pity to break her. Still, that's life.

Yeah, but that's the situation at the moment.
Omegas like many big cars are worth more as parts at the moment.
All you have to do is just trawl the many pages on ebay.
:-/ :-/

Put it up the road somehwre with a sign saying 500 quid some idiot will pay it (not saying it's a bad car or anything just current financial climate etc). It's what I plan to do try and sell it to someone with no clue for a stupid amount of money :D
