Already have :y
All the people who have been allowed into the UK in thelast 10 years from all sorts of cultures and countries, some of them hate this country and would love to destroy it.
The ghurkas however have fought (very bravely)and died for over 2 centuries for this country and this government is going to extraordinary lengths to stop them from coming.I heard the minister responsible say that he had to be careful about setting precedents.

There are no precedents to set -- the Ghurkas have EARNED the right to come here. It's astoundingly hypocritical and downright two-faced of the Government to willingly accept their lives and then begrudge them entry.   >:( >:( >:(

He was basically saying that if we let them in then everyone will think they can come in.How a member of this government could say that with a straight face....... >:(

Quite right HC :y  but then hypocrisy and the twin facade are but few of the many points on the corrupted compass by which this administration has led the country into dangerous waters >:(

I have worked with the Gurkha and hand on my heart they are fantastic soldiers, very professional and hard-working.  There are others who are lets just say less deserving.

The government's whole policy toward immigration and the armed forces is disgusting.  You would not beleive the problems I have had and I am english, an officer and married to an american..... if you thought it was easy to get access for swmbo into the UK even with my credentials then think again  >:( >:( >:(

I shall stop now or I will go on and on over this.

What I'm having trouble understanding is why people seem so shocked at what the present Government(LOL)or indeed any ruling body in this supposedly green and pleasant land of ours continuously gets away with when all you here these days is these sort of stories that make you want to question your heritage, it seems it's alright to die for it but only as long as you don't want to be a part of it >:( >:( >:(.

what a joke this all is, these brave guys (i have served with them and even the officers seem to have respect for the lowly british private). these guys have no problem with laying down their lives for this sodding corrupt country but this is how they are treated.
when i walk around my town or a nearby city its like im in a foreign country with polish, lithanians, russians, pakistanis etc who, to be told the truth, are only here for the money alone- some even getting benefits for children who live abroad!  so it makes my blood boil when the gurkhas arnt even allowed to live in the country beggers belief........ >:( :(

Done. Couldn't agree with this cause more. If you are willing to give your life for a country then you are automatically a citizen of that country as far as I am concerned.

Already registered, but I have just done it again to make absolutely sure they have my vote!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Agree with all previous pro comments, and it is just one other black mark against the appalling. morally and financially bankrupt government that currently rules us. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I hope everyone showing their anger now do not forget the importance of their vote at the next general election! ;) ;) ;)

Maybe, with the plethora of choice we have, we should give the Lib Dems a shot!! After all ... they couldn't do much worse ....could they ??????
