I rarely pedal things like this online but this guy deserves all the support he can get. I served with this guy in Iraq working in the same HQ, I left to come home days before his accident.
You may have seen this in the news, after becoming a paraplegic in an enemy rocket attack he was told he would never walk again. He spends every other month in Hedley Court the military rehabilitation centre working on his fitness and traction. Amazingly he has already started to regain some feeling and movement in his legs!
He has already completed several fund-raising activities including rowing across the channel in 16 hours! He aims to raise £1m for Help For Heros and is above one third of the way there.
I am going to lend him some support this weekend as I am inspired by this chap. I know we are all in a pinch but even if you can only spare a couple of quid it all makes a difference.
Have a read of some the messages of support on here:

truly inspirational, how did he get on yesterday?
-
He made his 2 mile target yesterday, it took him 2 hours to do the first mile all on crutches unaided.......

I saw this wonderful man interviewed on Tv recently; what an exemplar for the human spirit; and yet another reminder of why our Armed-Forces really are so-special.
It`s past-time the Nation truly kept it`s 'covenant' with our services personel.
....let it begin with: respect/gratitude, complete health-care and a decent pension.

I just sent some dosh. Its a shame that the "just Giving " site takes 5%, plus no doubt the card companies take their share. That must nearly wipe off 10%. :'( :'( :'(

You have nothing to apologize for Gaffers :y If we can't bring this to the attention of the populace at large then we are in a sorry state.
The general opinion about military sacrifice hasn't changed much since Kipling wrote about the soldiers lot in his famous poem, Tommy.
It is only right that we belly-up to help those who have paid dearly for their service to this country :y :y :y :y
