I work on Shaftesbury Avenue, London, for the past year they have been replacing drains, water pipes, re-surfacing road, new bus lanes and pedestrian crossing.
All done about 2 months ago, good i thought, ready for the summer. 8-)
Looking out the window, what have they just offloaded? One of those machines that shreads the road ready for resurfacing! >:(

The words Government and Efficiency do not belong in the same sentence!!!!! I have done a few spellls for Queen, Country and Parliament and speak from bitter experience !!!!

If they are gonna resurface it again after only 2 months.....there must be a reason ;)
For example......incorrect type of tarmac used first time round ::)
I kid you not, a road was resurfaced near me, about a mile long, last year. It took them a week or so. Month later they were redoing it.
I asked a more local resident why? Answer she was told, was the surface was too smooth and too slippy in the wet ::)
