Title: I'm much more seriously ill than we thought.

Hi all
           Well as some of you will recall I have had stomach & back pains for some time now, I was sent to hospital  April 14 th for blood tests & scans and sadly the CT scan done on the 21st showed up that I have Cancer in the pancreas (a very bad place evidentally) as having visited the specialist today; I was told its not possible to surgically remove the cancer, the best I can hope for is chemotherapy but I still need a final test as to find out what type of cancer it is and as to how to treat it. My family are obviously stunned as after recovering great from my heart surgery in Jan things were looking great and i felt fitter than for years.
            Anyway will keep you posted as to how it goes and quite possibly will be looking for buyer for my 1998 Elite Est, i will be posting details shortly as wont be needing it in any case can just use the 2.0 l which as just been mot'd

I hope your treatment doesn't cause you too much pain, though I know the treatment is nasty  :'(

Oh dear Lord, Billy! :o....you really are going through the mill.....prayers will be said here for your recovery to wellness and that you will have not too difficult a treatment regimen to endure.
Tough-times lie ahead during treatment, but you can beat this I`m sure. :y
Please keep us informed as to your progress....a dose of OOF banter is a known tonic for the spirits ya`knows! ;)

Do you have Bupa?  If so I will find out who treated me old man... this oncologist is one of the best in the country...

I know I'm new here but i am a firm believer in positive thought, please don't go shedding your assets, you should be planning for the future, life is for living not for giving up on.Please try to think positively,my mother had her bowel and bladder removed because of cancer and she is still going strong at 75 ( she is on a 3 month narrow boat trip at the moment!) Always think the best as i will be :y

Many thanks everyone for your get well wishes I am staying positive as all my family is too..
No not in Bupa but will be in St James (Jimmys) Leeds.. new cancer wing supposedly one of most advanced in Europe so could'nt be in better hands I reckon. :y

I hope everything goes well for you billy, my mum had breast cancer last year :( she was with NHS and she cant praise them enough :)
