If its an old analogue type, at best you will get crappy svideo which you need a capture card in PC to use.

Here goes

CVC - sell it as a collectors item
VHS-C - skip
Video 8 - analogue capture
Hi 8 - analogue capture
Digital 8 - firewire
Micro MV - I think USB
Mini DV - Firewire
HDV - firewire

Mini DV is excellent I really want an HDV one though

20 years ago I hred a video camera to record my Brothers 21st.

Just tried to google it but may have got the mofel wrong.

It took full size VHS tapes and for its time the quality was fantastic.

Seem to recollect it being a Panasonic or Hitachi M1SE or something similar.

Must admit I fancy a HD vid camera at the moment.

I remember the old Vhs cameras - all inferior to the Sony Beta portable (SL-F1UB), however best cameras where JVC GX-N70 and a Panasonic with CCD pickup - with both of these the most popular accessory was a 14 pin K lead to fit Sony recorders

Hi.

I know it's not cheap, but would this be the kind of thing you maybe looking for.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=224587

There is another way of doing the conversion via leads, I'll see if I can find a link for that one to, a lot cheaper, but not sure on the quality of the end result ?.
