Can anyone tell me what the difference is between ordinary silicon sealer and high modulous? :-/
-
spelt differently ::)
Or ..... High modulous for the highest elongation and low modulous for the lowest elongation. High equals longer chains of polymer for more stretch the low modulous has short chains for less stretch. (as nicked from another forum !!)

It describes the amount of movement required to break the joint....and its the opposite of what you would think.
i.e. high modulous is more rigid.....so if you want a flexible joint for say the edge of a bath then a low modulous silicon is required as it stretches more. A high modulous one would be used for calking brick joints and the like
The best I have found for bathrooms etc is the ice white stuff from Unibond

Seems we have a variance of meaning here -- however, I bow to Marks DTM Calib's far superior knowledge on this one ( seeeing as I nicked my definition from someone else !!! )

I should add that a natural cure silicon will also bond better

Thanks Mark :y
