Anything in the handbook? :-/ ;D ;D ;D ;D

well a 1998 CDX S Reg doesnt have any switches
have a check on yours the lever is in the dipped beam bulb holder if it has one!
-
The old boy cant find his handbook and I am not within 45 mins of the car to have a look myself.
:(

I thought it's only cars with Xenon/HID or projector-style headlamps that have levers to adjust the beam pattern? :-?
IIRC, the majority of Astra G's have H4's, and will need beam benders sticking on the lens :y

I think its got the type of headlights that have perfectly clear lenses and visible bulbs
Cheers

Aye, it'll be a beam-bender job.
But, given past experience - I'd get the type that are black, so that they stand out. Not the type that are the clear reflector style.
We've been pulled over by the, ahem, friendly gendarmaries waiting just down the road from Calais trying to spot cars which don't have beam benders fitted.

Oh, and whilst we're on the subject - tell your dad to make sure he has a high-vis vest for each occupant of the car (i.e. driver and all passengers), and they must be kept in the cabin somewhere - not in the boot (I stashed ours under the seats), and a spare set of bulbs etc :y
If he doesn't have either, your local poundshop will have the vests and the bulbs in. No point paying stupidly inflated prices when ya don't need to! :y

i think you will find you have to take a red triangle reflector aswell has the has a set of bulbs as stated and your driving licence .don't forget your euro.s for toll roads have a safe journey :y
