A nailbiting time indeed, but I doubt if you need to worry Jaime with all the care and attention it gets. :y

I'm sure all will be well. ;)

Hmm just think of all the possibilities..

Emissions... suspension components.... brakes....

I'm joking, nice car, and I'm sure it will pass!

Can't see anything wrong with it, but would have liked to have treated it to nice fresh oil before testing...  ...I know the Xenons are set to 'flat' as the beam has gone awol when set to UK...

I would have thought that would be ok.....as its not in line of vision....depends how picky the examiner is i guess?  :-/

Talking about windscreens....windscreen blokey phoned me today....saying there are two different for your merc....which one do you want?.....Both screens have slight green tint all over....but you can have a grey sunshade band (the bit at the top) or a green one ....i said i dont care...whichever one you have or can get the quickest....windscreen blokey said ....ohhh well i'll order the grey sunshade band then....their more expensive  :o I dont care really coz insurance is paying except the first £50.....but just goes to show!

Passed :D

Couple of advisories  >:( - both 'dangle berries'. 'Plastic sills' and 'Front pads worn'

Apparently, they can't check for rust under the sills, so put down as advisory to cover their arses :(.

The pads, M_DTM and I checked a couple of weeks back and they are OK. Unless I've worn them badly in a couple of weeks, and the remaining pad wear sensor has failed (one is taped up  ::))

Yay for you Jaime!  :D

Ignore the dumb advisories. The sills are fine I'm sure and the pads will be changed before next year anyway.

Mine is now tomorrow (she has taken the MV6 to Lincoln today)...  :-/

If it fails I will take it as a personal insult!  >:(

Nice one jaime :y

Thats exactly what they put on mine, advising on corrosion on one of the sills. Thought the tester must have had x-ray specs on. Now i know why, covering his own backside :-?

Got mine a few weeks ago, when I realised on Friday evening that it had already expired :-[ somehow I managed to get the dates totally mixed up. Luckily managed to get it in on the Saturday morning, collected it an hour later with new certificate and no advisories :)

Straight to the Post Office after that to renew the tax, so I end up £225 lighter and the weekend hadn't even started yet :(

Slightly off topic but....

I thought fair play to the mot tester that failed my merc.....

Everytime you braked the warning light came on for low pads/fluid....but me being me had decided it was a dodgy sensor and ignored it.....coz i had new pads on it about 10k ago and couldnt believe they had worn out yet....but mot blokey didnt know that and investigated why the warning light was coming on....when i picked it up....he told me theres not much brake fluid in the reservior....ive topped it up now....and warning light is staying off...so well done mot blokey  :y coz he didnt have to bother!

Place down Manor Road, next to DIY place... (same place that did your Zorst and A/C?)

Good luck LB66 :)

I can confirm that Marks_DTM tested many aspects of your car the other day - suspension, brakes, engine, all seemed OK to me. Assuming there is any tread left on the rears  ::)

Yep. Good little place that.... you get the big guy usual mechanic type?? When I went to collect after A/C was fixed he said "Sorry pal, put too little gas in first place, so got to vac it, then i'll bang some more in ok pal?"

Funny guy but seams very good, he will also fit parts on the side for a few notes at a good price ;)  :y

i dont know whats more worrying, something being wrong with yer car or the cost of putting it right! i think its always best to go to the same garage every year, they get to know ya and may be a little bit more lenient ie i shall get it done asap type thing !! ;)

I've used the same place for years, both for the MOT's and the work that I can't be ars*d doing on the road in the pouring rain or if my back is aching a bit too much.

Its certainly worth return visits.  The place I use is really fair and, more importantly, I know that the car has had a good test and not just a happy smiling '£30 please with no faults or advisories' .......  I would rather know that something is Rubber Ducked so it can be repaired/replaced than drive for a year in gay abandon, until whatever lets go and we are upside down in a field...   ;D

And as a special treat for passing, she's just had some nice fresh oil (old stuff had done 4k) and breathers checked....

Any news on yours LB66?
